New Olympic sized outdoor arena at Wellington Riding Centre

Andrews Bowen are delighted to have been chosen to deliver the new main arena for Wellington Riding. We are looking forward to working with the team at Wellington to deliver a top level main arena to enhance Wellington’s current facilities.

The new arena provides 8000 square metres of performance area and is landscaped into the existing site to provide excellent viewing for spectators, creating a true championship atmosphere. A grass apron has been created between the surfaced edge and the perimeter fencing to create the feeling of space, this apron extends beyond the arena at one end to open out to a water feature framed by a raised bank with a local woodland back drop. The arena has been positioned to integrate into the existing facilities and is surfaced with Andrews Bowen ProWax competition surface ensuring the facility is capable of hosting the highest level of competition.

Andrews Bowen have worked with the Wellington team to ensure that the available performance area of the arena is maximised to enable the venue to run a variety of events across a range of Equestrian disciplines. The size of the arena and expected feel will lend themselves to top level competitions and put Wellington in a great position to bid for the most prestigious events.
