David Andrews - Company Director
As well as representing Great Britain on many occasions during his showjumping career, David has also trained British and Spanish riders to international level. David grew up with racehorses; his father Stuart was a racehorse trainer; and rode under rules as a jockey.
David’s wife, Julie is from a very well known equestrian family. Her achievements include winning Team Silver, Individual Silver and Bronze at European level, together with being an Under 21 Champion at the age of 16. She has represented Great Britain on numerous Nations Cup Teams and is now a BSJA accredited coach. Julie’s sister, Gillian, has won Team and Individual Gold at the Pony and the Under 21 Europeans, as well as the Queen Elizabeth Cup. Their father, Johnny Greenwood has a prolific list of showjumping achievements, has represented Great Britain on countless Nations Cup Teams and is still competing and producing young horses.
Simon Bowen - Company Director
Simon, coming from a well-renowned and respected equestrian background, has competed at the highest level and has won several major competitions including the RIHS 138 Championship.
Simon’s sister, Sarah, has won many prestigious showjumping titles including Leading Junior Show Jumper of the Year, European Pony and Under 21 silver medalist, National Ladies Champion and Leading Young Rider of Great Britain. Their father, David, has won the King George Cup, been four times winner of the Hickstead Speed Derby, a member of the 1984 silver medal winning British Team at the Los Angeles Olympics, as well as having represented Great Britain on numerous Nations Cup teams.
Stuart Nelson - General Manager
Stuart, having learnt to ride in Germany, has successfully competed in Britain at National level in dressage, eventing and showjumping. Prior to joining Andrews Bowen Limited, Stuart managed an auspicious international competition venue.
Colin Way - UK Sales Director
A seasoned equestrian all-rounder, Colin has worked and successfully competed across a range of disciplines. He has trained, produced and taught, as well as built and managed equestrian facilities, before arriving at Andrews Bowen.
His expertise covers time spent competing at affiliated showjumping and dressage, county-level showing, riding with various hunts and senior positions within the racing industry, including head lad at Jack Berry’s yard.
As a British Showjumping and cross country course designer he is highly experienced in detailed design to help manage the challenges owners, riders and trainers face in the day to day running of their yards.
