Wellington Riding: One year on...
This time last year the full build of The Olympic sized Waterloo Arena at Wellington Riding in Hampshire was completed. The impressive 8000 squared meter arena holds 1600 tonnes of Andrews Bowen ProWax Competition Surface. The Waterloo Arena is landscaped into the stunning grounds to provide excellent viewing for spectators, creating a true championship atmosphere. Featuring a grass apron between the surfaced edge and perimeter fencing to create the feeling of space, this apron extends beyond the arena at one end which opens out to include a water feature framed by a raised bank with a local woodland back drop.
Andrews Bowen worked with the Wellington team prior to the build to ensure that the available performance area of the arena was maximised to enable the venue to run a variety of events across a range of Equestrian disciplines.
The arena has been host to many successful competitions throughout the year, including British Dressage, British Showjumping, various clinics & unaffiliated shows. Wellington Riding’s Waterloo arena is also set to host the second British Dressage Premier League in 6th -10th June this year.
Alongside the Waterloo Arena, Wellington Riding have also refurbished the existing 65m x 42m Outdoor arena this year with Andrews Bowen sand & fibre surface, adding to the venues’ exceptional facilities.
Andrews Bowen are delighted to be involved with such an outstanding venue and an extremely hard-working team at Wellington.
